Covid-19 / Coronavirus update

Our processes around limiting the coronavirus / Covid-19 are led by Public Health England who provide daily updates on measures that need to be taken, this will continue and if you wish to view this yourselves then you can do by searching: https://publichealthmatters.blog.gov.uk/2020/01/23/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-what-you-need-to-know/

We have moved quickly with advice throughout the pandemic, receiving Daily updates from the Department for Health and Social Care, Gloucestershire Care Providers Association and Gloucestershire county council. Ensuring that all press conferences relating to Covid-19 and or any other Health and Social care related topic; Feeding back detail to all and ensuring that best practices were always in place.

We are very pleased to say that our carers have never had cause for concern around PPE stocks.

The current containment measures are regular handwashing with hot water and soap, to be sure that you have washed your hands for an appropriate amount of time you could sing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song while you wash, and we have also included a poster description to further support good hand washing techniques.

Twice weekly asymptomatic testing of all care workers.

Regular Infection Control training updates disseminated to all.

Type IIR Masks remain in place when supporting a customer.

Regular use of alcohol hand gel is also recommended, and we have ensured good stock levels at the office, so please feel free to come by for or request a refill as and when required.

As community transmission levels and advice changes we will adjust our control measures accordingly always airing with best practice advice.

Should you wish to discuss Covid-19 or measures taken further please do not hesitate to contact the office on 01452 345134
